Accessibility Statement
Kataleia is committed to making our wholesale flower platform usable by everyone, including people who rely on assistive technologies. We want every approved buyer to browse the catalog, manage an account, and place orders without barriers. This statement explains the standard we work toward, the steps we have taken, and how to reach us if something is not working for you.
Our standard
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive needs. Accessibility is an ongoing commitment rather than a one-time project, and we treat it as part of how we build and maintain the site.
What we have done
We design and develop the Kataleia storefront with accessibility in mind. Current efforts include:
- Semantic HTML so that headings, lists, tables, and landmarks are announced correctly by screen readers.
- Keyboard navigation so the catalog, account pages, and cart can be reached and operated without a mouse, with a visible focus indicator.
- Color contrast chosen to meet AA contrast ratios for text and meaningful interface elements.
- Alternative text for product and informational images so their content is available to screen reader users.
- Reduced-motion support that respects your operating system or browser setting to limit non-essential animation.
Continual improvement
We review the site as we add products and features, and we correct issues as we find them. Accessibility work is never finished, so we welcome feedback that helps us identify and fix barriers we may have missed. If you encounter a problem, your report directly helps us improve the experience for every buyer.
Third-party and checkout note
Checkout and payments are handled by Shopify on shop.kataleia.com, a secure third-party platform. Some screens during checkout, along with certain other embedded or third-party components, are controlled by their providers and may not fully match the standard we apply to pages we build ourselves. We monitor these experiences and share accessibility feedback with our partners. If a third-party step prevents you from completing an order, please contact us and we will help you finish your purchase another way.
Report a barrier or request assistance
If you have trouble using any part of the Kataleia site, or you need help completing a task such as creating an account or placing an order, we want to hear from you. When you write, it helps to include:
- The page or web address where you ran into the problem.
- A short description of what happened and what you were trying to do.
- The device, browser, and any assistive technology you were using, if you know them.
We review accessibility reports and aim to respond during our business hours, Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm ET. We will work with you to provide the information or assistance you need.
