Frequently Asked Questions
Everything verified trade buyers ask before opening a Kataleia account — eligibility, pricing, the weekly order cycle, delivery, and claims. Still have a question? Email info@kataleia.com and a real person replies within one business day.
Who can buy from Kataleia?
Kataleia is wholesale-only. We sell to verified US businesses — florists, event and wedding designers, studios, and venues. Every account is reviewed by hand before it is activated, and we do not sell to consumers.
Why don't I see prices?
Wholesale pricing is reserved for verified trade buyers, so prices stay hidden until you sign in. Request access to open an account, or sign in if you are already approved, and every product will show your catalog price.
How do I open a wholesale account?
Three steps: request access with your business details, we verify that you are an eligible trade buyer, then we activate your company account and assign your catalog pricing. Most approvals take one business day. See the wholesale program for what to have ready.
How does B2B catalog pricing work?
The public catalog shows products without prices. Once your company account is approved and you sign in, each product displays your company's catalog price — the price you check out with — including per-stem and per-box math.
Where do the flowers come from?
Directly from partner farms in Ecuador and Colombia. There are no importers or wholesalers in between: stems are cut to order at the farm after you order and shipped cold chain to your door. Read more on our farms.
What is the minimum order?
Orders are placed by the bunch — 25 stems per bunch — and ship in farm boxes, with a one-box minimum. Stems per bunch and bunches per box are listed on every product so you always know the volume you are committing to.
How does the weekly order cycle work?
We run a fixed weekly cycle for peak freshness. The order cutoff is Thursday 9 PM ET; stems are cut Friday at the farm; most studios receive their boxes the following Monday or Tuesday. Orders placed after the cutoff roll into the next cycle. Full detail on shipping & delivery.
How long does delivery take?
Typical lead time is 4 to 5 days from order to delivery, depending on the farm. Each product lists its own lead time, and every shipment is tracked the whole way.
Do you offer net terms?
Net terms may be available to approved companies at our discretion. Once your account is active, email orders@kataleia.com to ask — see payment & net terms for how it works.
Can I cancel or change an order?
Yes, before the weekly cutoff. Because stems are cut to order, changes and cancellations must reach us before Thursday 9 PM ET — email orders@kataleia.com with your order number. After cutoff the stems are cut and the order can no longer be changed.
What if my flowers arrive damaged or short?
Email photos to claims@kataleia.com within 24 hours of delivery and we make it right — refund or replacement on your next shipment, no lengthy process. See returns, refunds & claims.
What if a variety is short at harvest?
We notify you and offer the nearest equivalent of equal or greater value, or a credit if none works. Mark an order “no substitutions” before cutoff if you need exact varieties — details in our substitution policy.
Do you ship outside the United States?
Not yet. We currently deliver to verified business accounts within the US, to a commercial address where someone can receive and condition the boxes promptly.
