Shipping & Delivery

Every Kataleia order ships farm-direct from our partner farms in Ecuador and Colombia to your studio door, moving through a continuous cold chain the entire way. Because stems are cut to order rather than pulled from a cooler, delivery follows a weekly rhythm built around peak freshness. Here is exactly how it works and what to expect when your boxes arrive.

The weekly schedule

Orders run on a fixed weekly cycle so your flowers are as fresh as possible:

  • Order cutoff: Thursday at 9 PM ET. Anything placed after the cutoff rolls into the following week.
  • Harvest: your stems are cut to order at the farm on Friday morning, then graded, bunched, and packed at origin.
  • Arrival: most studios receive their boxes the following Monday or Tuesday.

Lead times

Typical lead time is 4 to 5 days from order to delivery. Lead time can vary by variety and origin, so each product lists its own lead time on the product page. Always check the lead time shown for the specific stems you are ordering, and plan event and wedding work with a comfortable buffer ahead of your design day.

Tracking your shipment

Every shipment is tracked. Once your order is packed and in transit, you will receive tracking so you can follow your boxes through the cold chain and plan your receiving day. You can also review order and shipment status from your account.

Delivery details

  • United States only. We currently deliver within the US to verified business accounts.
  • Commercial address. Deliveries go to a commercial address (your shop, studio, or venue) where someone can receive and process the boxes promptly.
  • Sold by the bunch. Flowers ship in bunches of 25 stems, packed for transit to protect the heads and stems.
  • 1-box minimum. Every order requires a minimum of one box.

Receiving your flowers

A little care on arrival protects the vase life you paid for. We recommend:

  1. Inspect on arrival. Open and check your boxes as soon as they land. Confirm counts and look over the stems while everything is still cool.
  2. Process quickly. Give stems a fresh cut, hydrate them in clean water, and move them into a cooler or cool space without delay.
  3. Keep them cool. Avoid leaving boxes in heat, direct sun, or on a loading dock. With prompt processing, vase life is typically 12+ days.

If a delivery is delayed

Shipments are tracked end to end, but if your boxes are running behind or you have a question about a delivery in transit, email orders@kataleia.com and we will help locate your shipment and sort out the timing.

If flowers arrive damaged or short, that is handled separately under our freshness guarantee: email photos to claims@kataleia.com within 24 hours of delivery and we will resolve it by refund or replacement on your next shipment.
