Terms of Sale
These Terms of Sale govern your access to and use of Kataleia and any orders you place with us at kataleia.com and our checkout at shop.kataleia.com. Kataleia supplies B2B wholesale fresh-cut flowers, farm-direct from partner farms in Ecuador and Colombia. By creating an account or placing an order, you agree to these terms.
Eligibility & account approval
Kataleia sells to verified businesses only: US florists, event and wedding designers, studios, and venues. We do not sell to consumers. Every account is reviewed and must be approved before it is activated for ordering. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete business information during registration and to keep it up to date. We may decline, suspend, or close any account at our discretion, including where eligibility or business details cannot be verified.
Account responsibilities
You are responsible for safeguarding your sign-in credentials and for all activity under your account. Orders placed through an approved account are presumed authorized by your business. Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been used without permission.
Pricing & availability
Our public catalog shows base wholesale list prices. Once an approved company account signs in, each product displays that company's catalog price. Flowers are sold by the bunch in bunches of 25 stems, with a 1-box minimum order; per-stem and per-box math is shown on each product. Prices, product availability, and lead times are subject to change without notice and are confirmed at the time your order is accepted. Each product lists its own lead time, typically 4 to 5 days from order to delivery.
Ordering process & weekly cutoff
Stems are cut to order at the farm after you order. We operate on a weekly cycle: the order cutoff is Thursday 9 PM ET; stems are cut Friday; most studios receive boxes the following Monday or Tuesday. Orders placed after the cutoff are scheduled for the next cycle. An order is not binding until we accept it.
Perishable goods
You acknowledge that fresh-cut flowers are perishable, living products cut to order. Natural variation in size, color, openness, and stem count is normal. Typical vase life is 12 or more days when handled and conditioned properly on arrival.
Payment
Checkout is handled securely by Shopify on shop.kataleia.com. All prices and charges are in US dollars (USD). Net terms may be offered to approved companies at our discretion; where terms apply, the specific arrangement will be set out for your account separately. You are responsible for any applicable taxes.
Shipping, title & risk of loss
We ship in a continuous cold chain from origin to your door, and shipments are tracked. Title and risk of loss pass to you upon delivery to the address on your order. Please ensure someone is available to receive and condition the flowers promptly.
Claims
If flowers arrive damaged or short, email photos to claims@kataleia.com within 24 hours of delivery. Approved claims are resolved by refund or by replacement on your next shipment. See our claims and freshness guarantee details for the full process.
Limitation of liability
Because the goods are perishable and depend on prompt, proper handling after delivery, our liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to a refund of, or replacement for, the affected product. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kataleia is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits or losses arising from delays, spoilage after delivery, or improper handling, storage, or conditioning.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the applicable laws of the jurisdiction in which Kataleia operates, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted, and your continued use or ordering after that constitutes acceptance. Please review this page periodically.
